After two years of historic war, after our stories and Israel’s old identity fell apart, the old Israeli culture admits it did not entirely work. We begin anew.
On December 7, Gon Ben Ari and the Zulat Choir released their latest album, “Israeli Music,” featuring Roy Kafri, Yael Abecassis, Salome and Paz Demari. The album is a deliberate attempt to create folk music for the people awakening in Israel and plant hope for a future folklore—between East and West, liturgical poetry and electronics, club culture and messianic Hasidism.
Now “Israeli Music” is heading out across the country.
A trio performance with Salome on percussion and vocals and Nimshi on bass.
