A Dialogue Between Piano and Percussion — MAO

MAO is an ensemble with a distinctive sound: a living, breathing encounter between piano and percussion, shaped by creative freedom, spontaneous improvisation, and deep listening. Behind the name are Orel Oshrat (piano) and Maayan Doari (percussion). After years of collaborating in Israel and around the world, they have developed a musical language of their own: precision and minimalism alongside bursts of groove, deep rhythms, and harmonies that touch the heart. In every performance, they create an intimate space that invites the audience on an open, powerful emotional journey.

Following the release of two EPs—one a live session of new original compositions, and the other created in collaboration with Artlist—and a tour across Israel, the duo will release their debut album and launch a new tour.
